How do I Place in a Math Class?
Math placement at SIUC is based on one of the following:
- Officially submitting an ACT score.
- If you have submitted a score within the last 2 years, and have recieved a subscore of 22 (SAT 530+) you can register for Math 106, 108, or 125 without taking the placement test.
- Advanced Coursework (AP, IB, Transfer, or Duel Credit).
- You may be placed into the appropriate math course based on the transferability of the course(s) you have taken.
- Taking the Math Placement ACCUPLACER exam.
- If you do not have an ACT or SAT score, or you have not taken any Advanced Coursework, (and your major requires certain math classes) you will need to take the Accuplacer Exam.
